Tomato Soup

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon : 2 teaspoon
  • Roma tomatoes : 7
  • Baby Carrots : 7
  • Onion : 0.5
  • Bay Leaf : 1
  • Garlic : 4 cloves
  • Cardamom : 2 (deseeded)
  • Spice Powders : cumin, coriander, and chilly powder

Instructions

  1. Heat oil 1/2 Tbsp + butter 1/2 Tbsp in a pan
  2. Add 1 bay leaf, 2 cloves, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 cardamom, 1/2 onion sliced, 5 baby carrot
  3. Saute little bit (don’t let onions turn brown)
  4. Add 7 roma tomatoes sliced, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp jeera powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder and saute, 1/ tsp pepper
  5. Add 3 cups of water, coriander stems, and boil for 20 minutes.
  6. Decant the solids and let them cool. Then add the solids to mixer to make puree. Add back puree to stock and boil with little more pepper (1/2 tsp) and water (2 cups) and 1/2 tsp salt
  7. Finally filter contents through fine sieve and get the fine stock. Add little butter and drink
