Palak Dal

Ingredients

  • Baby Spinach : 4oz
  • Tomato : 2
  • Dal : 1 cup (50% toor dal, 30% masoor dal, 20% urad dal)
  • Garlic : 3 cloves
  • Cumin : 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard : 1 teaspoon
  • Urad Dal : 1 teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves : 4
  • Green Chilly : 2
  • Dried Red Chilly : 2

Instructions

  1. Add 2 tbsp ghee and 1 tbsp oil

Keep spices ready:

  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 TSP cumin
  • 1 TSP mustard
  • 1 tbsp urad dal
  • 4 curry leaves
  • 2 guntur chilly
  • 2 green chilly

Once oil is ready add the above mix and let it cook. Then switch off instant pot.

Now add:

  1. 1 cup dal washed (50% toor dal, 30% masoor dal, 20% urad dal)
  2. 4oz palak
  3. 2 cup water
  4. 2 tomato
  5. 1/2 tbsp tamarind
  6. 1.5 TSP turmeric
  7. 1.5 tbsp chilly powder
  8. 1/2 tbsp salt

Then close lid and high pressure cook for 8 minutes
